Step 01: Power on the L-CAT EVO robot in the lower left hand corner of

the machine

Step 02: Press the HOME key on the teaching pendant to HOME the

robot. Once HOME, you will need to turn on the power to the

iron unit

Step 03: Press the ORANGE MODE key on the teaching pendant three

times until the display reads ROB [MANU]

Step 04: Press the ENTER key one time and check the SET

TEMPERATURE. Set the temperature per the application

requirement (300 ~ 420 Deg. C)

Step 05: Press the Heater ON key to turn on the temperature & iron unit

Step 06: Press the ORANGE MODE key again one time until the

display reads ROB [AUTO]

Step 07: Make sure that the program number in the display reads Prog. 01

Step 08: Press the ORANGE RUN key to initiate a program sequence

Item to Check:

a) Make sure the air is on to the machine (required for operation)

b) Make sure that the POWER, ORIGIN and STAND-BY LED’s are illuminated

c) Check the iron tip for wear prior to soldering

d) Check the sponges to ensure that they are saturated

e) Make sure that the upper line of the display shows the temperature of 360 Degrees Celsius
